What this site measures

This website keeps simple, aggregate measurements so Alfyn can understand how visitors use the site. That means page views, whether a visit lasted more than a few seconds, a general sense of where the visit came from (for example: direct, a search engine, social media, email, a referring website, or a QR code), and when someone taps a call, text, or email link or sends a message through a form.

Open house measurements

When an open house is being promoted on this site, the same simple, aggregate counts include how many people saw the open house information and how many took an action such as viewing a property, adding it to a calendar, getting directions, requesting reminders, or asking about a tour. These counts do not include which property or open house was involved, your contact details, or the contents of any form.

How long visits last

This site also keeps aggregate measurements of visit quality: roughly how much time a visit spends actively reading the site with the tab in front of you, how many visits are completed, and how many visits bounce after a moment without doing anything. Time is only counted while the page is visible and the tab is focused, so a page left open in a background tab does not add time.

To connect those moments into one visit, your browser tab is given a temporary random identifier. It is created fresh in that tab, held only in temporary browser-tab storage, resets after 30 minutes of inactivity, and disappears when you close the tab. That random value is sent only to this website's own same-origin server, which converts it one-way into a scrambled code before any measurement is stored. The original random value is never forwarded to the measurement system and is never stored by the measurement system in its original form.

These visit measurements do not collect the web address, path, or query string of the pages you view, the contents of any form, your contact details, your raw IP address, or any other personal information.

How your visit is identified

Your browser tab is given a random identifier that lives only in temporary browser-tab storage and disappears when you close the tab. That random value is sent only to this website's own same-origin server, which transforms it one-way into a scrambled code that cannot be reversed. The original random value is never forwarded to the measurement system and is never stored by the measurement system in its original form.

What analytics does not include

The analytics measurements do not include the contents of any form, your name, email address, phone number, or message, your raw IP address, the full web address or query string of the pages you view, or any record from Alfyn's lead list.

Contact forms are separate

When you choose to submit a contact or lead form, that form separately sends the information you typed so Alfyn can respond to you. That is a different path from the measurements described above, and the two are not combined here.

No advertising trackers

This measurement pilot does not add any advertising or ad-retargeting tracker to the site.
